PA GOP leaders applaud McCain pick

This just in from the Republican Party of Pennsylvania:
HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Robert A. Gleason Jr. and Vice-Chair Joyce Haas applaud John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to serve as our next Vice President.

"John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was the best choice for his campaign, our nation and most certainly is the best choice for Pennsylvania," Chairman Gleason said. "While Barack Obama chose the consummate Washington insider as his running mate, John McCain decided to select a reform minded maverick to run on the GOP ticket. Sarah Palin is the best choice to help John McCain implement his plans to change the agenda in Washington. Palin brings strong executive experience and I think she will be a great addition to our Party's ticket. I am positive that Pennsylvanians will get plenty of opportunities to visit with and learn more about Governor Palin as she is sure to be a frequent visitor to the Keystone State."

"This is certainly an exciting choice and as a woman I couldn't be happier with John McCain's selection,” Vice-Chair Haas added. "Governor Sarah Palin is a woman who wears many hats, a hard-working and reform-minded Governor, a devoted wife and loving mother. I am looking forward to the next few months and I am excited that Pennsylvanians will have the opportunity to elect the first woman to serve as our nation’s next Vice President."
