The Pennsylvania Republican Committee issued the following response to the speech by ultra-liberal Pa. Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, who joined her fellow left-wingers in speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte:

"This evening, Congresswoman Schwartz joined former President Jimmy Carter, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other extreme liberal Democrats unsuccessfully attempting to convince Americans that they are better off in the Obama economy. The effects of President Obama’s failed economic policies have been particularly devastating to women, who now face record high poverty levels and unemployment. After three-and-a-half years of failing to get the job done, it’s clear Pennsylvanians aren’t better off and can’t afford four more years of President Obama. Mitt Romney has the experience and plan to lead an economic recovery and once again make America the best place for women and all Americans to find a job, start a business or hire new employees."
