Why can't a politician be sexy?

Who is the sexiest political figure in America? Hint: It's not Hillary Clinton. It's not Barbara Boxer. It's not Nancy Pelosi.

The folks over at MSN.com/Lifestyles recently ran a feature called 'The 10 Sexiest Women Over 40' which included the usual suspects: Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek and someone named Suzy Kolber, who I never heard of before I saw the list.

The surprise pick is 45-year-old Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican Party vice presidential nominee.

This is what Craig Playstead for MSN Lifestyle had to say about Palin:
Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Palin has a way of luring people into her world. She's striking—the whole librarian-in-glasses look is sexy, even if she's not sure what she reads. She has a style all her own and is a self-made woman. There was no family giving her an easy entrance into politics or favors called in on her behalf. Bursting onto the national scene this past year with confidence—moxie, really—made her an instant celebrity and seems to have cemented her onto the political landscape for years to come.
I'm waiting for someone to publish a list of 'The 10 Sexiest Grandmothers' and you know Sarah Palin will be No. 1 on that survey.
