Pitts hammers pork spending
Congressman Joe Pitts (PA-16) took to the House floor to describe some of the ridiculous earmarks contained in the omnibus appropriations bill making its way through Congress. Members of Congress, mostly Democrats, have stuffed the bill with more than 8,000 earmarks, another term for "pork spending."
In light of President Obama's numerous campaign promises to reduce earmarks, Pitts is seeking to educate the public about the earmarks contained in the bill, which the President will have the opportunity to sign once the Senate acts on the bill, according to his office.
