Tony Phyrillas to speak at Montgomery County Community College
You've read his columns in The Mercury. You've visited his blog. You've heard him on the radio. You've seen him on television. Now meet Tony Phyrillas in person.
The Mercury's award-winning political columnist and top-ranked blogger will be the featured speaker at the Fourth Annual Healthy Lifestyles Expo on Friday, April 17, at Montgomery County Community College.
The Expo runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the college's West campus, 101 College Ave., Pottstown.
Phyrillas will speak from 11 to 11:45 p.m. in the cafeteria.
The Expo features free admission, free parking and free lunch for everyone who attends.
The event is sponsored by state Rep. Tom Quigley, R-146th Dist., The Mercury, Montgomery County Community College and the TriCounty Community Network.
In addition to more than 70 vendors who will set up displays, the Expo features free health screenings, music and door prizes. Cartoonist Alan MacBain, who is featured in The Mercury's editorial pages, will be on hand to provide free caricatures for visitors.
Parking is available at the college and across the street at Riverfront Park, with shuttle service running visitors to the college.
