Fattah Plan: Eliminate $11 Trillion National Debt by Eliminating Tax Code

A Democrat who wants to cut taxes? Rare. A Democrat who wants to eliminate taxes altogether? somebody check to see if this guy is running a fever.

Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) has introduced legislation that he says will usher in a new America.

H.R. 1703, The Comprehensive Transform America Transaction Fee Act of 2009 calls for a study on the elimination of all federal taxes on individuals and corporations and replaces it with a fee on transactions over $500.

Taxpayers would pay less under the transaction fee system than they now pay under the current tax structure, Fattah says in a statement. By some estimates, to achieve that result the fee would be under one percent, he says.
