The streak continues

For those who follow this blog at www.blognetnews.com/Pennsylvania, you know the Web site publishes a weekly Influence Ranking, awarding the coveted No. 1 spot to the "most influential political blog" in a particular state.

There are no tangible rewards for reaching No. 1 other than bragging rights ... so here I go.

This is my fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Influence Ranking, tying a record. I set the record over a five-week span in June-July 2008. This is the third time I've held the No. 1 spot for four or more consecutive weeks, also a record.

I could be wrong, but I believe I've reached the No. 1 spot more times than any other blogger in Pennsylvania. That includes 23 weeks at No. 1 in 2008. I reached the No. 2 spot 12 other weeks in 2008, so I held the No. 1 or No. 2 rankings for 35 weeks last year.

I was in the Top 5 for all 52 weeks in 2008, another record. If memory serves me, this is my 78th consecutive week in the Top 5. I've also had two blogs ranked in the Top 5 in the same week four different times, another record.

You're probably wondering if I know the secret of how BlogNetNews.com comes up with its Influence Rankings. No, I don't. If I knew how the rankings were tabulated, don't you think I'd be No. 1 every week?

Here's this week's Top 10, with conservative bloggers highlighted.
