Details slowly emerging on state budget
Gov. Ed Rendell signed the $28.2 billion general fund budget at 6 p.m. on July 4, which was almost as bad as the Legislature voting on the pay raise at 2 a.m. three years ago.
Rendell wanted to minimize coverage of the flawed budget, which some predict will leave Pennsylvania with a $1 billion budget deficit by this time next year. You know what that means? Tax hike.
