New Susquehanna PA Poll: Obama 48% - Romney 47%
Pennsylvania may be in play after all.
In a blow to the Obama campaign and its media allies, who have proclaimed the election over, a new Susquehanna Polling and Research poll to be released Thursday morning shows the race in Pennsylvania is a statistical tie.
If Obama loses Pennsylvania, his chances of winning re-election are slim and none with slim last seen heading west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Most recent polls had Obama pulling away with the race in the Keystone State, but the Susquehanna Poll is the most recent sampling of likely voters. It shows Barack Obama with 48 percent support compared to 47 percent for Mitt Romney. The Susquehanna poll was conducted on Sept. 17.
The full poll results will be released at 10 a.m. Thursday during a telephone conference with media by Pennsylvania GOP Chairman Rob Gleason and Jim Lee, president of Susquehanna Polling and Research.
The Pennsylvania poll, coming on the heels of an Associated Press/GfK Poll that shows he national race is also a statistical tie (Obama 47% - Romney 46%) means the race is anyone's to win with 50 days left until Election Day.
