Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Signs Budget, Cutting Spending, Without Tax Increases
For the first time in 9 years, Pennsylvania has a budget in place before the start of its fiscal year.
Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell missed the deadline in each of his eight years as governor.
Republican Gov. Tom Corbett signed the 2011-12 budget on June 30, just in time for the start of the new fiscal year on July 1.
