Rep. Vereb to Host Third Annual Senior Expo

Rep. Mike Vereb, R-150th Dist., invites local senior citizens to his third annual senior expo on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

From a press release issued by Vereb's office:
"Last year we had a record turnout to my annual senior expo, and I'm hopeful even more residents will come this year," Vereb said. "This is a great opportunity for local seniors to obtain a wealth of information on programs and resources that are available to them. I look forward to discussing issues important to seniors with my constituents."

A special guest speaker will be on hand to discuss veterans' health care issues.

Seniors will be able to obtain information on programs available to them from the following organizations: Klein Bus Trips, Spring-Ford Community Education Program, Waddell & Reed, Verizon Wireless, Bayada Nurses, Home Helpers and Direct Link, Independence Blue Cross, the Senior Adult Activity Center of Montgomery County, Montgomery County Historical Society, Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services, Family Services, the Office of the Attorney General, Senior Resource Guide, SEPTA, TRANSNET, the American Cancer Society, LIHEAP, AARP, Elmwood Park Zoo, Montgomery County Cultural Center, Merle Norman Cosmetics, the Philadelphia Veterans Association, Visiting Angels, Silver Sneakers and more.

The expo will take place at the IBEW Local 380 building, 3900 Ridge Pike in Collegeville. This event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and is free for all who attend. Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
