Gore endorses McGinty in Pa. governor's race
Here's a case where an endorsement could end up costing the candidate votes.
Global Warming charlatan Al Gore wants Pennsylvania residents to elect Democrat Katie McGinty as governor.
McGinty is one of eight Democrats seeking their party's nomination to run against incumbent Republican Gov. Tom Corbett.
Her ties to Gore go back to the 1980s. McGinty was environmental adviser to Gore's unsuccessful 2000 presidential campaign. Before that, McGinty spent a decade working in Washington, D.C., both in Gore’s Senate office, which she joined in 1989, and for the Clinton White House, most notably as chairwoman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, according to The Associated Press.
My advice to McGinty: I wouldn't brag too much about Gore's endorsement, especially as Pennsylvania residents are still digging out from all this global warming.

endorsed by the Chester County Republican Committee in his bid for
Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District seat.
Costello, currently chairman of the Chester County Board of Commissioners, is attempting to succeed fellow Republican Jim Gerlach (also a Chester County resident.)
Gerlach, who first won the 6th District seat in 2002, announced earlier this year that he will not see re-election.
In addition to his duties as county commissioner, Costello is an attorney in Phoenixville, Pa.

Costello currently serves as Chairman of the Chester County Board of Commissioners.Costello is the only Republican seeking the Republican nod in the 6th Congressional District. Two Democrats have also announced.
"It is an honor to have the endorsement and support of the committee people of Chester County," said Costello. "As a Member of Congress, I will work to keep taxes low, control government spending, and promote continued economic growth in our region. We need to get our country back on track and restore a national sense of optimism about the future direction of America. That means we need elected officials who are going to put the interests of the American people first.
"I appreciate the confidence that the committee people have placed in me, and I want to especially thank Chairman Val DiGiorgio for his leadership of the committee." said Costello. "Just as important, I appreciate all of the hard work they do year in year out to help communicate the Republican ideals of fiscal responsibility and limited government to voters. Their support and dedication is going to be a key factor in the weeks and months to come as this campaign heats up."

Year 5 of Obama's Failed Stimulus
Happy Anniversary America! It's been 5 years since Barack Obama and Congress gave us the $787 billion stimulus bill that was going to jump-start the US economy. The economy is still in the toilet ... and you can thank Barack Obama and Congress of wasting hundreds of billions on pet projects and rewarding their political contributors. Meanwhile, millions are still out of work and tens of millions have given up looking for work entirely.

Far Left Website: Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett Killed 4 People Today
Talk about unhinged.
A liberal website posted this headline - 'Tom Corbett Killed 4 People Today' - on its website above a article demanding Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett expand Medicaid spending in Pennsylvania.
It's one thing to advocate a position, but how desperate are Democrats to unseat Corbett that they resort to such despicable smear tactics?

No gubernatorial candidate gets endorsement from Pa. Democratic Party
Some 300 top Democratic Party officials gathered in Hershey to consider endorsing one of the 7 candidates seeking the party's nomination for Pennsylvania governor, but none of the candidates could get the required two-thirds majority to win the endorsement. That means the candidates will have to slug it out until the May primary, spending campaign money to differentiate themselves from the herd, which won't be so easy to do considering they're all tax-and-spend liberals.
Meanwhile, incumbent Republican Gov. Tom Corbet can concentrate his resources on the November General Election.

Sen. Pat Toomey: CBO Report on Obamacare 'Devastating'
U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement
about the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office report that says the
President's health care law will reduce the number of full-time workers
by about 2.5 million:
"Like many Pennsylvanians, I believe that creating more jobs and growing the economy should be one of our top priorities in Washington. Unfortunately, many of the policies that have been enacted by this Administration - especially Obamacare - are taking us in the opposite direction.
"Today, nonpartisan CBO has reported that Obamacare will cost millions of jobs and slow economic growth. This report should be big news but, sadly, these results are as predictable as they are devastating.
"Since I came to the Senate in 2011, business owners and individuals have warned me that onerous Obamacare mandates will make health insurance policies unaffordable, force employers to shed jobs, while greatly limiting the availability of full-time work that offer families sustaining wages. This nonpartisan CBO report confirms that Pennsylvania cannot afford the severe economic consequences and job loss created by the President's health care law."

Pa. Democrat gubernatorial hopefuls push tax-and-spend agenda
